A Shorten Labor Government will work to improve pedestrian links to Millswood Station.
This pledge has come after local residents raised concerns about access between Arundel Avenue and Millswood Station.
Member for Adelaide, Kate Ellis, said a Shorten Labor Government would ask the Australian Rail Track Corporation to conduct a safety audit of the existing pathway.
Subject to the audit, Labor will provide up to $200,000 to improve safety and fencing, so the pathway can be reopened and locals can have easy access to the Station.
“Many residents have contacted me about the importance of convenient access to Millswood Station,” Ms Ellis said.
“Without this local pathway, the detour for residents is simply be too long.
“I will keep working with the community to improve safety and accessibility around Millswood Station.
“Anything that makes it easier for local residents to use public transport is a good thing.”
